20 Day Humla Limi Lapcha Trek Nepal Adventure
If you want to explore amazing nature, mountains and adventure, then you should definitely do Humla Limi Lapcha Trek in Nepal. Located in the far northwestern part of Nepal, Humla is one of the untouched areas of the country, which is famous for its unique landscapes, Tibetan Buddhist culture and impressive Himalayas. I recently did the Humla Limi Lapcha Trek, and I should say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
The trip started from Simikot, the capital of Humla District, and went through the amazing Limi Valley, which is a pearl of the Humla Limi Lapcha Trek. The Limi Valley is the place where there are old Tibetan Buddhist villages and which have preserved its culture for centuries. People here were really hospitable, and staying in those villages we got an opportunity to learn more about this unique culture.
One of the best memories which I have from the trekking trip are the fantastic views of the amazing Mount Kailash and sacred Lake Manasarovar from the Nepalese side. The views were unbelievable! In addition, we were enjoying amazing views of other surrounding mountains such as Mendun Himal, Ardang La and Nyalu Peak.
The Humla Limi Lapcha Trek had fantastic wildlife and landscapes to witness too. On the way, we encountered several yak camps and also saw some wild yaks and wild asses feeding on the landscape of the high altitude. The area had great diversity, and the landscapes continued to amaze us all through the trekking period. We also got to see amazing alpine lakes like the Talung Lake and Seliman Lake, whose blue waters gave reflection of the mountains.
The trek took approximately 15 days of trekking, which was difficult as well as rewarding. We trekked across mountain passes, walked on remote trails, trekked through the forests and valleys.
It is the remoteness that makes the Humla Limi Lapcha Trek unique. Humla is unlike other places in Nepal where trekking is common; it is yet to be discovered and therefore still very pure.
All in all, my trek in the Humla region of the Himalayas turned out to be a fantastic experience. With its beautiful landscape, amazing cultural heritage, remote villages, and hospitable locals, this trek was really unforgettable. Therefore, if you want to embark on a trekking adventure in Nepal but not on the beaten path, then the Humla Limi Lapcha Trek would be a good option for you.
