Tibet Lhasa and Mt. Everest Base camp Motorbike tour Itinerary

Today you arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m). Our team will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest. In the evening, you are free to walk around or relax after your long journey.
Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour
Today is an easy day. We explore the city and learn about the local culture.
We visit Boudhanath, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. These places are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and very important cultural landmarks in Nepal.
You can also visit Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. From the top, you can see the whole city. It is a relaxed day before our riding adventure begins.
Ride Kathmandu to Shyabrubesi (1460m)
Today we start riding. We leave Kathmandu and head north.
At first, the road is smooth. Later, it becomes bumpy and winding as we go higher into the mountains near the Langtang region crossing Dhunche where Langtang, Gosaikunda trek start from. The views are beautiful. By evening, we reach Syabrubesi, a small village by the river. Time to rest.
Ride Kathmandu to Shyabrubesi (Elevation 1,140 m) – 125 Km / 7-8 hours.
Ride Shyabrubesi to Kerung (2750m)
Today is an important day. We ride to the border at Rasuwagadhi. After finishing the paperwork, we cross into Tibet.
You will notice the change right away. The roads are smoother, and the land looks more open. We stay in Kerung to rest and slowly adjust to the higher altitude.
Ride Shyabrubesi to Kerung. (3 to 4 hours including necessary border crossing formalities) (Elevation 2,750 m) – 42 KM
Ride Kerung to Tingri (4300 m)
Today we climb higher onto the Tibetan Plateau.
We cross high mountain passes and enjoy amazing views of Shishapangma. The mountains and open land feel huge and endless. On the way, we pass through a big tunnel recently built by the Chinese government. After crossing the tunnel, we see a beautiful large blue lake called Pekutso. The color of the water is bright and very peaceful to look at.
We spend the night in Tingri. The air is thinner here, so drink plenty of water and take it easy.
Ride Kerung to Tingri (Elevation 4300 m) – 244 Km / 5 hours.
Ride Tingri to Ronbuk Visit Everest Base Camp back to Shegar (4300m)
This is the big day.
We ride to Rongbuk Monastery, the highest (5,100m) monastery in the world. From here, you can see the north face of Mount Everest very clearly.
We visit Everest Base Camp traveling by tourist bus, take photos, and enjoy the moment. Later, we ride down to Shegar to sleep at a lower altitude where it is easier to breathe.
Ride Shegar to Shigatse (3900m)
Today is a long but beautiful ride across the wide Tibetan Plateau.
We cross Gyatso La Pass (5,248m), the highest point on the Friendship Highway.
In the evening, we arrive in Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. A hot shower will feel wonderful after today’s ride.
Ride Shigatse - Gyantse (3950m)
Today is a shorter and more relaxed ride.
In the morning, after breakfast, we visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the second holiest monastery in Tibet. It is a beautiful and peaceful place with rich history.
After visiting the monastery, we ride toward Gyantse, a town known for its old monasteries and traditional charm.
In Gyantse, we visit the famous Kumbum Stupa and Gyantse Dzong (the Red Fort Monastery).
It is a calm and enjoyable day with culture, history, and scenic riding.
Ride Gyantse to Lhasa via Yamdrok Lake (3650m)
Today is one of the most scenic days of the journey.
We climb Kamba La Pass and see Yamdrok Lake. The lake is bright turquoise and looks amazing against the mountains.
We ride along the lake, cross the Brahmaputra River, and finally reach Lhasa, the holy city of Tibet.
Guided city tours in Lhasa (3650m)
For two days, we leave the bikes and explore by touring van.
We visit Potala Palace, the winter home of the Dalai Lama, and Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet.
We also walk the Barkhor circuit with local pilgrims. It is a special and unforgettable experience.
Guided City tour around Potala (3650m)
Today we visit Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Both monasteries are very important in Tibetan Buddhism and full of history. You can see monks, old temples, and beautiful prayer halls.
In the evening, we walk around the local market near Barkhor Street. You can shop for souvenirs, meet local people, and enjoy Tibetan food. It is a great way to experience the local culture.
Fly back From Lhasa to Kathmandu
Today we fly back to Kathmandu.
The one-hour flight gives you a last beautiful view of the Himalayas from the sky Everest can be seen by plane if the weather is clear. After landing, we take you back to your hotel. In the evening, we enjoy a final dinner together and celebrate the journey.

Today it is time to pack your bags and head to the airport.
