Kathmandu to Rara Lake by Jeep:

Our journey begins in the heart of Kathmandu, where we load up our jeep with supplies and anticipation for the adventures ahead. The road initially winds its way through terraced fields and quaint villages, offering glimpses of rural life in Nepal. As we ascend higher into the mountains, the air becomes crisper, and the scenery more dramatic.

After navigating rugged terrain and crossing suspension bridges over roaring rivers, we finally reach the pristine shores of Rara Lake. Nestled amidst the Himalayas, Rara Lake is a jewel of the Karnali region, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and tranquil surroundings. Here, we take a moment to soak in the serenity of the lake and marvel at the snow-capped peaks reflected in its shimmering surface.

Leaving the comforts of our jeep behind, we lace up our hiking boots and set out on foot towards Humla. The trail meanders through dense forests of pine and rhododendron, alive with the melody of chirping birds and the occasional sighting of wildlife. With each step, we ascend higher into the mountains, leaving civilization far behind.

We sample hearty meals of dal bhat and momos, fueling our bodies for the challenging days ahead. As we trek further, the landscape transforms into a rugged wilderness of towering peaks and cascading waterfalls, each more awe-inspiring than the last.

One of the highlights of our journey is reaching the base camp of Mt. Saipal, a towering giant that looms over the landscape. From here, we are treated to panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayas, including glimpses of Tibet in the distance. We spend the night under a canopy of stars, sharing stories around the campfire and marveling at the sheer magnitude of nature's beauty.
