Today we will wake up early at 12 or 1 am and then after having breakfast start ascending the peak. We will reach the summit the peak before noon as in afternoon - the blowing of the strong winds makes it tough for summiting the peak. The path moves above the base camp more than hundred meters above.
Firstly the trail turns to a grassy trail to stone strewn. After that, we will ascend the rock ditch. It is not so tough, however, there is plenty of short rock steep to ascend until we reach the right side of the ditch. After that, the trails pursue ridgeline that leads to exciting and exposed cross on the snout of summit glacier.
Firante's expert guide will be fixing a rope when necessary. A steep snow slope leads us to the summit ridge. We will be using both the fixed ropes and man rope for safety. We will be using fixed rope after fruitfully ascending on the rock, the rope length will be 350 meters but the length of the rope depends on season and crevasses.
There are two newly shaped crevasses which are around 3 to 4 meter long. To cross the crevasses, we will be using a ladder. Reaching the top of the summit - we will enjoy the mountain views and spend some time taking pictures. We will then retrace back to Island Peak Base Camp and reaching the base camp - we will celebrate the successful completion of our peak summit.
