Trip overview
You don’t need mountaineering experience, but cardiovascular fitness is essential. We recommend training 3–4 months beforehand: hiking with a loaded pack on inclines, regular running or cycling, and gym sessions targeting leg strength. You should comfortably manage 5–7 hours of walking per day on uneven terrain with a 5–8 kg daypack.
