Tibet Autonomous Region or Tibet is one of the most spiritually significant places in Asia. Tibet is also called the “roof of the world” for its towering peaks. Located in the southwest of China, also bordering India, Nepal, Myanmar, and Bhutan, it is situated on the highest desert plateau with an average elevation of 4,572meter.

The Potala Palace in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region is the main attraction which is also the ancestral home of the Dalai Lama. Similarly, there are many other popular tourist destinations in Shigatse, Shannan, Ngari, Nagchu and Nyingchi and Qamdo prefecture. Each Prefecture has its own features to be offered for travelers.

Palace such as Potala, Norbulinka, Yumbulagang and monasteries holds the history of the ancient era intact. The art, crafts, and architecture found in those places are simply mind-blowing.

Shigatse (the seat of the Panchen Lama) also the gate to Mount Everest,  Mount Kailash and Nepal border, Namsto lake the holy beautiful lake, Gyantse famous kumbum and dzong, Ngari, Shannan the birthplace of Tibet civilization Nyingchi Switzerland views Nagchu- northern wild grassland and Qmando mysterious eastern Tibet Gyantse and Tsedang. This unique land is now easily accessible from Kathmandu (Nepal) and various parts of China.

In west Tibet, you can find the sacred Mt. Kailash, is also an important pilgrimage for both Hindu and Buddhist religions. This mountain is also the source of the four great rivers of this region; The Indus, Brahmaputra (Tsangpo), Karnali (Ganges) and Sutlej. These rivers are all fed by the water of the nearby sacred Lake Manasarovar.
